Land Internships

Come learn about the importance of managing our Land assets for the company’s exploration and production operations. Negotiating deals and trades with other companies and individuals, drafting and managing agreements, ensuring the company’s compliance with governmental regulations and managing the information related to our interests in the assets are just some of the activities which you’ll experience. You’ll the have the opportunity to become an essential contributor to our customers’ success by participating on their work and project teams and being a part of the decision making process.

You'll gain a multifaceted view of our industry, and while we're learning more about your abilities, you'll have a chance to learn more about Chevron as a potential employer.

Summer Internship Program

We sponsor a summer internship program for students who would like to take a closer look at Chevron. Internships can last between 10-14 weeks, depending on the project you'll be working on

Who we hire

We're looking for candidates who are working towards a Bachelor's degree with concentrations in Energy Management, Energy Commerce, Petroleum Land Management, Finance, Economics, Marketing, International, General Business or a Masters of Business Administration degree as well as students pursuing their Law degree.

What you'll do

As students in this internship program you'll have the opportunity to work as Ownership Representatives and/or Land Representatives in one of our four office locations in the U.S. You'll gain valuable “real life” work experience while working within an Exploration or Asset Team and will have the chance to work on real-world projects with significant business impact. As an intern, you'll:

  • gain a better understanding of the upstream oil and gas business
  • learn more about our people and culture
  • be placed with a mentor
  • get hands-on experience
  • learn about the importance of Land professional’s role in our exploration and production activities
  • have an opportunity to present your work experience to senior management at the end of the intern assignment
Not only will summer interns earn competitive wages, but they're given serious consideration for full-time positions with Chevron upon graduation.
