It provides excellent practical experience in engineering, and gives you the opportunity to learn more about us as a potential employer, while we learn more about you.
While most of our internships are offered during the summer, we also offer some six-month assignments.

Who we hire
We seek outstanding students who are looking for engineering experience and an opportunity to learn and contribute to our business. You should be working toward a degree in Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical or Petroleum Engineering.
What you’ll do
You’ll work on a Marketing, Exploration, Production or Refinery project, ranging from hands-on field support to detailed technology support. You’ll work directly with other engineers and professionals in a team environment, which enhances your learning and development. You’ll see how Chevron people — skilled and dedicated individuals from diverse backgrounds — work together to deliver success.
Where you’ll work
Chevron’s engineers work at locations across the United States and around the world. Locations where interns might work in the U.S. include:
- Bakersfield, Brea, El Segundo, Richmond or San Ramon, California
- Pascagoula, Mississippi
- New Orleans or Lafayette, Louisiana
- Atlanta, Georgia
- Houston or Midland, Texas
