Candidates must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident and should have a bachelor’s degree in mechanical, civil or electrical engineering with an overall GPA of 3.0 or above.


What You'll Do

During this two-year program, you will receive a series of assignments — all designed to provide practical hands-on experience. Your assignments will meet your unique development needs and career aspirations, as well as Chevron’s business needs. Your journey may include rotations in:

  • Fuel storage terminal engineering
  • Retail engineering service station design and construction
  • Terminal operations
  • Logistics planning
  • Petroleum pipeline operations

When you participate in this program, you’ll:

  • Gain detailed knowledge of our operations and the energy industry overall.
  • Attend training workshops and classes to enhance your project management skills and your knowledge of Chevron’s processes and methodologies.
  • Receive frequent and personal attention from a dedicated program manager who will monitor your progress and provide feedback and career coaching.
  • Receive additional formal feedback from your managers during different rotations: at the beginning of each six-month period, halfway through your rotation, and at the end of your rotation.

After completing the program, you will have the knowledge and skills that are in high demand in Global Marketing and throughout the company. Your future career path and assignments can take many directions and will continue to be shaped by your interests, performance and development areas, as well as Chevron’s evolving business needs.


Where You'll Work

Your assignments will be based in San Ramon, California (San Francisco Bay Area), but rotations can be at other locations in or outside the United States as well, depending on business needs and your preferences.
