Finance plays an important role in Chevron, providing the financial guidance and direction that balances quality, risk and value in a changing business environment. Creating and upholding ethical decisions is just one way to help shape the financial future of Chevron. This includes:

Who we hire

We’re looking for highly motivated people who want to develop and excel in a team-based environment. Specifically we’re seeking individuals with the following skills:

  • Accounting — the ability to apply accounting policies and practices
  • Analysis and problem solving — the ability to analyze financial information, select and gather data, and recommend or determine a course of action
  • Technology — the ability to use sophisticated software and other technology, including SAP, Hyperion and Microsoft Office suite

What you’ll do

Chevron offers opportunities in the Global Finance Center of Focus and in Regional Finance Offices that support our operating companies around the world. What you’ll do depends on the division and location in which you work, but you’ll generally lead or support one or more of these activities:

  • Capital budgeting and cost analysis
  • Corporate or operating company-specific accounting and regulatory reporting
  • Financial forecasting, analysis and reporting
  • Finance/accounting counsel and consulting
  • Internal controls/compliance
  • Liaise with other finance divisions
  • Tracking accountability/score card metrics
  • Sarbanes Oxley compliance and reporting

Chevron is a global company with a presence in approximately 180 countries around the world. Global Finance locations include:

Most U.S. assignments are located in the San Francisco Bay Area, California, and in Houston, Texas.
