Who We Hire
Ideal candidates:
- Possess strong leadership potential.
- Have three to six years pre-M.B.A. work experience.
- Are interested in exploring a variety of business areas.
- Have strong analytical skills.
- Received an M.B.A. from a top school.
- Are geographically mobile.
- Have a permanent U.S. work authorization.
Candidates should have an M.B.A. in finance. Previous finance and industry experience is valuable but
not required.
What You'll Do
As a Chevron Finance M.B.A. Development Program participant, you’ll spend the first two years in the
program in four rotational assignments, each lasting approximately six months. There is no pre-established
sequence for your rotations. Instead, your assignments will be tailored to your interests and development
areas, as well as to Chevron’s business needs. Your assignments might include work in four of the following
areas:
- Corporate Comptroller’s
- Corporate Treasury
- Corporate Strategic Planning
- Global Upstream
- Global Gas
- Global Downstream
- Corporate Audit
- Credit
A full-time manager, who is also a program alumnus, coordinates the program. Your manager understands the
full range of possible assignments and will work with you to tailor your assignments.

Chevron Finance M.B.A. Development Program opportunities are available around the globe. Depending on your
role, you may work in:
- Houston, Texas
- San Francisco Bay Area, California
- Angola
- Argentina
- Australia
- Brazil
- Canada
- Kazakhstan
- Nigeria
- Singapore
- Thailand
- United Kingdom
International exposure for future leaders of the company is critical, and you’ll likely complete one or more
overseas assignments while in the program. If you’re interested, you’re encouraged to pursue transferring to global
locations after you complete the program.
