Project Management

As a project manager, you’ll play a central role in the smooth and successful execution of projects and initiatives. You’ll work closely with your colleagues to align resources and ensure that objectives are met on a day-to-day basis.

You may work in a variety of capacities as a project manager. You may be hired into a business unit or into an operating company — such as Information Technology — to perform the role of a project manager, consultant or coordinator. Or, you can be hired into the company’s service group — the Project Resources Company (PRC).

Project managers at Chevron know how to find and use the best resources, ensure alignment with business objectives, apply lessons learned and best practices and execute projects safely and efficiently.

PRC: Project Resources Company

PRC works with business unit management to formulate major capital project organizations. The primary role of the PRC staff is to provide project engineering and project management resources to Chevron’s Upstream, Downstream and Midstream business units located around the world. In addition, PRC provides technical and procurement expertise for projects. PRC champions the Chevron Project Development & Execution Process (CPDEP), and develops and deploys CPDEP and project management skills throughout the company.
