Supply and Trading M.B.A. Development Program

The Global Supply and Trading (GS&T) M.B.A. Development Program was created to identify and develop the next generation of leaders for our business.

We recognize that as an M.B.A. you have high aspirations, drive, and the skills necessary to succeed. As you progress through the program, you’ll be challenged to call upon your formal business education in the areas of supply chain, finance, and general management.

Who we hire

We’re actively seeking recent M.B.A. graduates who have:

  • Flexibility in learning and exploring a variety of business areas and geographical locations
  • A strong desire to work in a commercial trading organization
  • Strong leadership potential
  • Three to six years work experience
  • Solid academic experience
  • An analytical mind

What you’ll do

The Global Supply and Trading function:

  • Seeks to optimize the performance of Chevron’s assets
  • Buys and sells crude oil and refined products to meet system requirements in global markets
  • Manages price and other risks associated with volatile markets
  • Generates substantial earnings through trading activities that extend beyond the ends of the system

During your first two years at Chevron, you’ll be a member of the GS&T M.B.A. Development Program, where you’ll:

  • Complete four rotational assignments that will each allow you to apply your knowledge and broaden your understanding of our business while enhancing your management and leadership skills
  • Work on projects that are important to our success and the relationships you build with executive mentors and colleagues will prove important to your future
  • Create a path during the program that will largely be dependent on your interest and Chevron’s business needs.
  • Be assisted by a senior manager who’ll serve as your mentor during your journey through the program
  • Have rotational assignments that can include but are not limited to the following areas:

    • Crude Supply and Trading
    • Products Supply and Trading
    • Fuel and Marine Marketing
    • Global Aviation
    • Asphalt
    • Supply Optimization Group
    • Corporate Headquarters staff groups

Where you’ll work

Your first rotation will be in the U.S. in Houston, Texas, where Chevron’s Global Supply and Trading business is headquartered. While you are in Houston, you’ll have the opportunity to work on one of most advanced trading floors in the industry. Subsequent rotations can occur in:

  • San Ramon, California (Corporate Headquarters)
  • Singapore
  • London, England
  • Cape Town, South Africa
