Chevron is committed to building a capable and committed workforce, attracting and retaining high calibre personnel. Apprentices and trainees are valuable skill resources who bring new ideas and diversity to the business. Opportunities are available to individuals who demonstrate excellence in previous vocational studies and/or have relevant workplace experience.
Chevron host apprenticeship and traineeship programs through our relationship with Energy Apprenticeship Group (EAG), a joint venture between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Western Australia (CCIWA) and the Australian Centre for Energy and Process Training (ACEPT).
CCIWA through Apprenticeships Australia coordinate the initial recruitment phases of the program, and Chevron interviews selected candidates for available positions.
We have three programs on offer including our Mechanical Fitting Apprenticeship (3.5 years), Electrical/Instrumentation Apprenticeship (4 years) and our Process Operator Traineeship (2 yrs). Each stream involves comprehensive practical and theoretical training which is reinforced through a combination of on and off the job learning strategies.
Participants in the program will:
- Gain invaluable hands-on experience by being a part of operating oil and gas projects.
- Receive structured off-the-job training.
- Continue career development under the supervision and guidance of an experienced mentor.
- Use the program as a gateway to explore job opportunities with Chevron.
Upon completion of the program you will receive a nationally recognised qualification in your given discipline.
