To exploit these opportunities, Chevron Petroleum India Private Limited (CPIPL) was formed during the second half of 2006, serving as the business development function for Chevron interests in India. Chevron in India has partnered with the leading petroleum refining company Reliance Petroleum by taking five percent stakes in their new 100 percent export oriented refinery located in Jamnagar.

There are different components to Chevron in India.
Chevron Lubricants India Limited
Chevron Lubricants India Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of Chevron Corporation, USA. We work very closely with our operations around the world to offer cutting edge products in the Indian market. Our products are blended with high quality base oils and additives, which are tested and approved by our technology and R&D centers around the world.
Sales and Marketing
We operate through our Sales and Marketing Headquarters at Mumbai, and have offices at 40 locations across the country. We take pride in the quality of our sales team who has significant technical qualifications to deliver superior lubrication solutions to our customers.
Manufacturing
We operate two blending plants in Chennai and Mumbai. Both facilities are ISO 9000 certified and are equipped with full fledged analytical laboratories.
Supply Chain
We operate through 20 supply depots (CFAs) and over 300 distributors across the country. All depots are networked to offer seamless service to our customers.
Caltex Gas India Private Ltd
Caltex Gas India Private Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Chevron Corporation operating in South India. Our import terminal with a capacity of 8500 MT is located at Tuticorin. We're the first company in India to own a fully refrigerated large sized terminal in the private sector. We import Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) from the Middle East, conforming to IS 4576 specification.
We have a dedicated transportation system to cater to bulk and cylinder transportation needs, and an established distribution network of over 250 distributors spread across all South India to assure timely supply of LPG. Bulk supply of LPG is also provided to Industrial Customers and Auto LPG dispensing stations spread over South India in tankers.

Where you'll work
Where you work will depend on your role within the organization. Vacancies in the Lubricants division can be found in four regions:
- North headquartered at Delhi
- East headquartered at Kolkotta
- West headquartered at Mumbai
- South headquartered at Chennai.
Vacancies in the LPG division can expect to work at:

- Branch offices based in Hyderabad, Madurai, Bangalore and Pondicherry
