Currently we have operations in more than 180 platforms in the Gulf of Thailand. Our offshore concession blocks cover over 36,000 km2. The natural gas we produce is used to generate power to serve one-third of Thailand's total power demand.

Our business has grown rapidly over the past year and will continue to grow even more through the competitiveness and synergy brought in after the Unocal merger. Student Opportunities

Special Recruitment Programs

Earth Sciences Scholarship Program: Chevron has taken a proactive approach providing an outreach program targeted at Thai high school students. The purpose of the program is to introduce and promote the study of Geology and Geophysics at the university level.

This recruitment program is designed to educate teachers and high school students about the importance of Earth Sciences. It also introduces students to what their future careers could hold, as well as the career opportunities Chevron has to offer to those who graduate in such disciplines.

University Scholarships: This scholarship program is designed to assist undergraduate and graduate students pursuing their studies in Engineering, Geology, and Geophysics without setting restrictions as to their employment with Chevron after graduation.

Eligible candidates should be enrolled in a university program in the fields of study mentioned above, and at least be a sophomore for undergraduate level. Graduate students are also eligible for this program.

Internships

Apart from our special program designed for high school students and the scholarships above, we also offer internship opportunities to university students in both undergraduate and graduate levels.

Our structured 8-10 week internship program is designed to allow an intern to:

• Participate in live projects with hands-on experience
• Explore technical and managerial skills under our experienced professionals' supervision and guidance
• Utilize our internship program as a gateway to explore job opportunities with Chevron after graduation

Where You'll Work

There are three key locations in Thailand where Chevron operates its businesses:

• Bangkok; where the head office is located at the SCB Park Plaza
• Songkhla; which houses offshore warehouse, hangar and training facilities
• Satthip; a coastal town in eastern Thailand, with hangar facilities for commuting with offshore platforms
