Chevron is one of the world's leading integrated energy companies and has been present in Australia for over 70 years. Chevron’s upstream business based in Western Australia operates the Gorgon and Wheatstone LNG projects and operates Australia’s largest onshore oilfield on Barrow Island.

In 2020, Chevron re-entered the Downstream market in Australia through the acquisition of Puma Energy (Australia) Holdings. The new organisation, Chevron Australia Downstream (CAD), delivers quality fuel and lubricant products and services across Australia via a national network of 250+ service stations, primarily under the Puma brand. In January 2022, Chevron started branding new service stations in Australia as Caltex – a global brand owned by Chevron – and continues to rebrand many of its existing Puma service stations to Caltex today.

In addition to this, Chevron Australia Downstream (CAD) operates three wholly owned product import terminals and has various teams who are responsible for establishing, monitoring and the delivery of products and services to various industries such as mining, resources, agriculture, transport, marine and aviation. Some of the other services available to customers include, bulk fuel supply, oils and lubricants, fuel equipment solutions, a fleet fuel card offering, an enticing customer loyalty program and expert advice on fuel management.
