Chevron is accepting online applications for the position Legal Administrative Assistant through August 12th, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. (MST).
This position is in the Rockies Business Unit Law Group (“RBU Law Group”), which provides legal support to Chevron’s Rockies Business Unit. The selected candidate for this position will support the RBU lawyers and legal analyst and will work with Chevron business clients, internal subject matter legal experts, outside counsel, and other stakeholders on a variety of projects.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Drafting, formatting, and revising legal documents under stringent deadlines which require strong word processing skills, attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills to assure accuracy and coherency
Multi-tasking and prioritizing work assignments to consistently provide high quality work product within given deadlines
Assisting lawyers in preparing correspondence, presentations, and routine reports
Setting up vendors and processing electronic invoices and payments within and outside of the legal software system (Team Connect)
Creating and updating legal matters in internal matter management system (Team Connect)
Tracking and gathering expenses and compiling complicated expense reports in expense reporting system (CTREX)
Working in iManage uploading materials, researching documents, and generating reports
Acting as an information resource for digital information systems including computer programs and hardware
Researching inquiries and relieving leaders and team members of administrative details
Handling special projects as requested
Assisting and providing backup coverage to other legal administrative assistants
Associates degree or administrative assistant certification or equivalent
5+ years working as an administrative assistant
High proficiency in MS Office Suites, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
Strong word processing skills and high level of proofreading, punctuation, and grammar skills
Demonstrated good teamwork experience
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments with accuracy and efficiency, including taking initiative, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively across broad functional and organizational lines
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with peers, attorneys, and other colleagues
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Experience working as an administrative assistant for law firm or corporate law department
Knowledge and understanding of Chevron’s preferred tools such as SharePoint, OneNote, iManage, and Microsoft Teams

The anticipated pay scale grade for this position is PSG 14 and the anticipated salary range for this position is $54,500-61,500.
