Chevron is accepting online applications for the position Decommissioning Site Rep through 12/08/2022at 11:59 p.m. (Central Time). 

The Decom Site Rep is a field-based construction representative position that carries out surface asset retirement obligations related to upstream facilities. Scope of operations includes well cut & caps, flowline abandonments and removals, decommissioning facilities, remedial excavations, and final reclamation. Daily duties and responsibilities include supervision and scheduling of work crews, upholding a culture of Operational Excellence and safety, documenting completed work scope and cost into the system of record, approving field service tickets, and continually improving work execution and team communication.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting in the Asset Retirement Obligations (ARO) of upstream surface facilities.

  • Manage site reclamation work following decommissioning of facilities, including recontour, seeding, inner-seeding and site maintenance as required until suitable revegetation is in-place.

  • Monitor available work inventory and schedules work according to priority.

  • Supervises multiple field crews and upholds a culture of operational excellence. Ensure crews comply with all Safe Work processes and carries out start work authority for all jobs.

  • Approves field service tickets and invoices.

  • Timely enters activity and cost tracking data for all jobs into the system of record.

  • Chevron liaison to landowners and the community we work in.

  • Supports other members of the team as needed, including coverage for other ARO operations including decommissioning and remediation.

  • All duties are to be performed in accordance with Environmental, Health and Safety Guidelines.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School or GED

  • 5 years O&G experience and awareness of decommissioning activities scope of work

  • Able and willing to drive a company vehicle for Company business and must possess a valid driver license with safe driving history.

  • Demonstrate basic computer knowledge through effective use of a personal computer including Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn additional software required for regular use.

  • Effective communication (phone, written, email, and in-person)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 7+ years Oil & Gas experience supervising crews and coordinating field activities

  • Knowledge of agronomy and native Coloradoan vegetation and climate is desire

  • Certifications - First Aid & Safeland Training.

Special Considerations:

  • 9/80 work schedule, Monday through Friday daylight hours

  • Field-based role

Relocation Options:

Relocation will not beconsidered.

  • The compensation and reference to benefits for this role is listed on this posting in compliance with Colorado law. The selected candidate’s salary will be determined based on his or her skills, experience, and qualifications. 

  • The anticipated pay scale grade for this position is 20-21and the anticipated salary range for this position is $95,000 - $158,000.
