The Partnership Marketing Specialist manages the Bay Area baseball sponsorships and associated community activations. This position is also responsible for managing the Chevron STEM Zone community activation program across the U.S. business units. Oversees contract deliverables with partners, including advertising and signage, social media, on-site activations, accompanying hospitality programs and additional special events. Responsibilities also include managing the day-to-day communication with external partners and supporting agency staff. Develops and implements annual plan with assigned partners to utilize all contractual assets in a way that advances the business goals of Chevron. Collaborates with multiple internal teams, including brand, advertising, paid media, external affairs, and business units on contractual assets. Develops metrics and shared results on a regular basis.

Required Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of partnership marketing and sponsorship industry. Baseball specific sponsorships preferred.

  • Proven ability to help negotiate favorable terms of event contracts to ensure that full value of the sponsorship is maximized. Prepare and manage budget throughout the planning and onsite execution of the event.

  • Strong project management skills, with an ability to manage timelines and deliverables for logistics, creative, and in-house agency teams, while tracking deadlines and clearly communicating objectives, project status and updates to team members on a regular basis.

  • Internal communications experience including creating run of shows/event agendas, executive briefing materials, and event staffing schedules.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 5+ years’ project management and sports marketing experience

  • Strong attention to detail and analytical/strategic thinking

  • Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into creative onsite activations and experiences

  • Agency experience preferred

  • Strong writing, organizational and project management skills

  • Experience in building relationships, aligning resources, and collaborating across teams to deliver excellent business results

40%+ Travel is required for this position
