This is a position providing support to Chevron Oronite engine oil field test projects in China, including management of document, data, tools and sample shipments, also required to coordinate with vendors. As a global leading oil additive company, we proof our technology through no harm field tests locally in China, AEO Field Test Coordinator is an important position in our field test team.
  • This position will provide support to the Automotive Engine Oils Field Test Team, including scheduling of blends and tests using Chevron blending and test scheduling systems.
  • The candidate will manage the data generated by Field Test programs.
  • The candidate will be expected to procure components used in experimental formulations and provide them to the blending operation.
  • The candidate will work with product line engineers to design and execute field test studies, provide for logistical support of studies, work with test laboratories to align testing needs with test programs, identify and overcome potential obstacles to test programs, and frequently update Field Test Support engineer with progress reports.
  • The successful candidate will be expected to conduct end of test inspections and rating of engine parts. 
  • Other work as assigned by supervisor 

Required Qualifications:

  • Demonstrates high level skills in Microsoft applications, especially with Excel databases, macros, plotting, and data analysis functions
  • Ability to process a high volume of work requests with minimal supervision
  • Ability to communicate effectively to global customers
  • Demonstrates multi-tasking and organization skills
  • Flexibility to support other technicians in shared work team environment
  • Ability to solve problems or troubleshoot issues
  • Fluent in English

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in automotive engineering, chemistry and/or mechanical engineering
  • Demonstrates knowledge of CELTIS software
  • Familiar with engine operation and parts, diesel and gasoline
  • Familiar with lubrication theories and concepts
  • Willingness to travel up to 15%
  • B.S. in Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or Automotive disciplines
