Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Procurement Specialist - Supplier Manager (Spanish Speaker) located in Makati City, Philippines through November 26, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. PH Time.

Responsibilities:

  • Implements a rigorous validation process to ensure the highest standards for supplier engagement, including a comprehensive review of vendor credentials to maintain the integrity and efficiency of the supply chain.

  • Minimizes risks and optimizes vendor performance by reviewing and approving new supplier registrations and assessing supplier profile change requests.

  • Maintains seamless supply chain operations and competitive advantage by completing the Transactability Confirmation Milestones and managing the creation and updates to ERP vendor/business partner numbers.

  • Review and process all the requests for SMART and Non-SMART Service Now ticket and Transactability Milestone (via project) from various Business units. 

  • Solicit and Review request for information (RFI) to various business units and to SMART and Non-SMART suppliers for vendor set-up and vendor profile update requirements. 

  • Gathering related information for Compliance review by Due Diligence Center of Excellence (DDCOE) for SMART and Non-SMART suppliers upon request from BU SCM. 

  • Provide support and perform vendor maintenance process requests through vendor autoload, PowerApps and ERP systems (JDE, SAP ECC, SAP S4) 

  • Approve vendor number creation and update request in PowerApps and MDG tool from various business units (Gatekeeper approvers) 

  • Review and approve new supplier registrations by performing duplicate checking, EaseNet screening and clearance (if needed). 

  • Review and approve SMART change requests to existing supplier profiles. 

  • Perform supplier’s SMART registration process for Ready for purchase offline on behalf of the supplier. 

  • Handle email inquiries received through the Supplier Manager mailboxes.

Required Qualifications:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Accountancy or Business Courses, Diploma/Certificate in Procurement/Supply Chain Management would be an advantage

  • Fluent in Spanish (written and spoken) Able to communicate effectively in professional settings and adapt language to suit the audience.

  • Proficient in English: to ensure smooth communication within a bilingual or multilingual team

  • Experience with translation or interpretation: Ability to translate documents, conduct bilingual meetings, or assist with interpreting for customers or team members

  • Candidate must be open to work on a night shift

  • Knowledgeable in Contracting and Procurement Process, eSourcing, contract administration, and eProcurement would be an advantage

  • Knowledgeable with tools such as ARIBA, SAP, Ketera and GEP would be an advantage

  • Excellent planning, analytical, people and communication skills are essential to the job
