downstream and chemicals
As a member of the Downstream & Chemicals Engineering Development Program, you'll join a select group of talented engineers on a track to develop project management, leadership and technical skills in the downstream environment.

The Engineering Development Program is a two-year program consisting of four rotational assignments designed to meet your individual development and career aspirations, as well as Chevron's business needs.
- You'll gain a detailed understanding of our global operations and of the energy industry overall as you are exposed to Chevron's downstream value chain. Your rotational assignments are set in the following business areas:
- Chevron's Lubricants organization is one of the world's largest suppliers of finished lubricants and a leading manufacturer of premium base oils; including marine lubricants, coolants and greases which are recognized for their quality, performance and technology around the world.
- Chevron's Transportation and Operations integrates and optimizes the fuels value chain from crude to the customer in North and Latin America, providing safe, reliable and efficient terminal operations and transportation services to locations through the Americas.
- Together these organizations provide advanced products for industrial, commercial, and consumer applications under our three worldwide brands, Chevron, Texaco, and Caltex.

Your rotational assignment may include:
- Fuel storage terminal engineering
- Terminal operations
- Logistics planning
- Service station design and construction
- Petroleum pipeline operations

- Transportation and operations
Most of your rotational assignments will be located in the San Francisco Bay Area, California or the U.S. Gulf Coast region. We look for individuals who are willing to relocate for different assignments within or outside the United States, depending on business needs and your preferences. Some rotational assignments may require international travel.
finance/accounting analyst program (FDP)
The Finance Development Program is a formal rotational program for highly talented individuals with the potential to be future leaders in finance at Chevron. Full-time Finance Development Program members rotate through four six-month assignments in various segments and functional accounting/finance roles across Chevron’s global footprint and value chain. To qualify, individuals must have or be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting and have completed a minimum of nine hours of Accounting credits.

Chevron's Sales Development Program attracts undergraduates from top-tier universities who are enthusiastic about a career in sales and aspire to work in a challenging and rewarding business.
The 4-month program offers the opportunity to learn the skills necessary to be successful in sales in an accelerated format that includes formal mentoring, formal and informal training, and field work.
After completing the program’s 4-month curriculum you will have enough experience and knowledge to begin your sales career. You will be placed in a sales role in one of several different locations across the United States with a formal mentor to help you succeed in your new position. You will focus on the key competencies for a successful sales career at Chevron including value-based selling, relationship management, sales technology, technical skills, and coaching. At Chevron, we provide opportunities for our people to explore new skills and grow. Chevron’s early career Horizons program aims to accelerate the development of technical competencies through:

We are seeking to hire motivated people with less than five years of industry experience in the following technical functions: Earth Science & Petroleum Engineering; Facilities Engineering; Health, Safety and Environment; Information Technology; Procurement & Supply Chain Management or Wells.
wells
Wells Engineers supervise drilling, completions and workover operations at Chevron’s rigs to ensure that drilling operations are safe, environmentally conscious and cost-efficient. Later, you may supervise more complex operations at remote sites.
Chevron is actively seeking:
- Wells Engineers usually start with field- based assignments, working at a rig site onshore or offshore on a rotating schedule for about two years. From there, our Wells Engineers oversee direct daily operations ensuring safety and compliance with environmental regulations.
finance & commercial MBA program (FCMP)
Chevron’s Finance & Commercial MBA Program (FCMP) has been an important source of leadership since its inception in 1946. FCMP participants rotate through four six-month assignments across the Finance and Business & Commercial functions, gaining exposure to many departments across Chevron’s global footprint. After completing the two-year program, participants place into a full-time role at Chevron. To qualify, individuals must be pursuing an MBA and have at least three years of pre-MBA work experience. The Human Resources Development Program is a challenging program designed to develop a pipeline of future HR leaders by enhancing your skills and providing a variety of opportunities throughout the enterprise (Upstream, Midstream, Downstream and Corporate groups). To qualify, individuals must have a Master’s degree in Human Resources or Labor Relations or an MBA with a concentration in Human Resources and have at least three years of pre-MBA work experience.
