Chevron China is seeking application for interns who share our culture of inclusion, collaboration, and performance. You will have substantial responsibilities and extensive experience including but not limited to the following:
- Support on safety culture growing initiatives, such as OE focus weeks, Hazard Hunter program, Contractor inspiring program etc.
- Responsible for tracking the closure of HSE findings from Hazard Hunt, Site Inspection, Learning from incidents, Leadership Engagements
- Responsible for the plant wide OE/HSE communication (OE Posters, LED display, monthly HSE newsletter.)
- Support the HSE specialist to improve the implementation of safe work practices, such as Permit to Work, Energy Isolation, Working at Height
- Support the HSE specialist in GHG (Greenhouse Gas) reporting, Hazardous Waste Management
- Support the HSE team to manage plant security team
- Leverage digital tools (Microsoft Power BI, automate etc.) to improve data analysis and simplify the processes
Learning opportunities will include:
- Cross function collaboration enables intern to learn how Operations, Technical and Maintenance team perform the work in the chemical industry.
- Excellent opportunity to learn OEMS (Operational Excellence Management System) especially on Health, Safety, Security and Environment area.
- Good experience on how to get ISO Certification (ISO 9001/ 14001/ 45001) and participate in both internal and external audit, and management review.
- Develop valuable networks and contacts for future career opportunities.
- A unique training system (LMS, Knovel, Degreed, on-job training ) in place to allow the intern grow professional knowledge and soft skills.
- LMS provides many courses on HSE processes and safe work practice.
- Knovel provides many standards and books from CCPS, API, ASTM
- Degreed (iLearn) provide courses from Accenture Academy, Blue Ocean Brain, percipio, can grow soft skills.
- On job training will help intern develop professional skills and interpersonal skills.
Work Location: Ningbo
We are looking for interns who have a drive for learning, is resourceful and a self-starter. Someone who has a keen eye for details, strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills will help you perform well in the team. We will provide the support you need to be successful in your internship.
