about the position
Chevron ENGINE has an exciting opportunity for an Integrated Operations Center (IOC) Systems Engineer (S&T) to join the Operations team. Reporting to the Process Engineering Manager, this role will be based in Chevron’s office in Bengaluru.
Chevron ENGINE supports global operations, and work hours are aligned to business needs. Standard working hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday to Friday. These may evolve based on operational or business requirements.
Key responsibilities
The Integrated Operations Center (IOC) Systems Engineer is part of the Facilities Process Engineering organization within the Chevron ENGINE Center and is responsible for providing critical analytical support to ensure the optimal performance and reliability of IOC systems of our Shale and Tight (S&T) assets. This role involves monitoring system operations, troubleshooting issues, and implementing effective solutions. The analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance system efficiency and effectiveness, contributing to the overall operational success of Chevron's IOC initiatives.
- Monitor System Operations: Continuously monitor the performance and reliability of IOC systems to ensure they meet operational standards and requirements.
- Troubleshoot Issues: Identify, diagnose, and resolve system issues promptly to minimize downtime and disruption to operations.
- Implement Solutions: Develop and implement effective solutions to improve system performance and reliability, leveraging industry best practices and innovative technologies.
- Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and engineering, to enhance system efficiency and effectiveness.
- Analyze Data: Collect, analyze, and interpret system data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of system operations, issues, and solutions, and generate reports for stakeholders to inform decision-making.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the capabilities and performance of IOC systems.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure all IOC systems comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis tools and software.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in an operations center or similar role within the oil and gas industry, preferably with experience in shale and tight oil and gas operations.
- Familiarity with real-time monitoring systems and digital oilfield technologies.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements related to oil and gas operations.
