About the Position:

The Reliability Condition Monitoring and Rotating Equipment Team Lead will provide leadership to a team of Condition Monitoring and Rotating Equipment Engineers within the Chevron ENGINE Center. These roles will support Chevron’s Refineries and Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) plants. This role also forms part of a larger Reliability and Integrity network across Chevron. This role’s primary purpose is to provide leadership to a team that monitors and maintains rotating equipment such as pumps, compressor, drivers and associated systems with a focus on optimization of equipment integrity & reliability, safety, and efficiency.

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure the work practices, applications, data, and tools are effective and efficient to meet Chevron and industry requirements; these include machinery performance monitoring, troubleshooting, Routine and Turnaround machinery work scope development, and Engineering Work Order development

  • Monitor and report on KPIs to steward the effectiveness of equipment, work processes, data and tools

  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams (Operations, Technical, Routine Maintenance, Turnaround and Projects) to improve asset reliability

  • Ensure lessons learned are shared and incorporated into the applicable systems for sustainability

  • Manage the performance of the team by establishing clear goals and expectations, coaching, feedback, mentoring and regular engagements

  • Lead projects of large scope and complexity under minimal supervision

  • Support troubleshooting of the equipment to improve reliability

Required qualification:

  • Bachelor’s/master’s degree in mechanical or reliability engineering (B.E./B.Tech./M.E./M. Tech.) from a deemed/recognized (AICTE) university

  • Minimum of 10-15 years relevant experience providing machinery engineering and condition monitoring support in a complex Oil & Gas operating environment

  • Demonstrated supervisory experience will be highly regarded
