Responsible for managing the deck crew to ensure safe and efficient logistical support, including materials transfer, crane, and boat operations. Key duties include:
• Planning resources to meet stakeholder needs.
• Ensuring cranes and lifting equipment are functional, compliant, and properly operated.

• Managing temporary equipment registers and conducting toolbox talks, risk assessments, and work permits.

Job Description
The Deck Coordinator is responsible for managing the deck crew to effectively provide logistical and service support by ensuring efficient and safe materials transfer, crane, and boat operations.
Effective planning and use of resources to meet stakeholders’ needs
Ensure cranes are fully functional and operated correctly, within their environmental parameters and in relation to sea and weather conditions: Carries out the required check’s and liaises with the Maintenance Department to ensure they are available for use and comply with company procedures, design specifications and legislation
Ensure all rigging and lifting equipment is in good condition, stored correctly and controlled effectively.
Develops, reviews and approves of lifting plans inline with company lifting and rigging procedures and standards.
Manages temporary equipment register in compliance with company procedures
Hold toolbox meetings, conduct task analyses and risk assessments. Develops work permits for routine and non-routine tasks within ePTW/CoW tools
Works in conjunction with Materials coordinator with the manifesting, laydown management and distribution of stores and materials.
Supervises the Deck Crew in:
Providing logistical, and general support to other departments
Waste management services in compliance with statutory and company regulations.
Planning and supervising offloading and back-loading of supply vessels: Management of heavy lifts, hazardous materials etc.
Maintaining rigging and lifting equipment and control its issue and use as determined by operating procedures.
Qualifications:
· Level 3 Diploma in Moving Loads VQ / QCF 6 or ECITB Appointed Person Moving Loads (Level 3) – Preferred but not required
· Valid BOSIET with CA-EBS certification.
· Valid offshore medical certificate.
Work Experience:
· Minimum 3 - 5 years experience in the Deck Coordinator or similar on oil and gas offshore installations
· Minimum 3 years experience as level 3 crane operators (Preferred – not required)
· Crane maintainer experience desirable but not essential
