About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Marine Pilot Loading Master. This permanent role will be based in Chevron’s Gorgon Gas Plant, Barrow Island and/or Wheatstone Gas Plant Onslow on an attractive rotational roster.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Performs the safety-critical role of Marine Pilot Loading Master to manage risk and safety in terminal operations and provides marine pilotage and loading master expertise to vessels transporting LNG and Condensate cargos within the port
Acts as the on-board Terminal Representative and coordinates all transfer operations between export vessels and the terminal
Manages the efficient use of Tug and Pilot Boats and ensures the safe transfer of personnel and equipment to and from vessels under pilotage in accordance with International and Chevron standards
Ensures vessel compliance with safe cargo loading and operating practices as per terminal regulations
Monitors the performance of Aids to Navigation
Understands vessel compatibility and clearance processes as part of loadmaster duties and identifies potential issues
Compiles and/or reviews procedures, operating manuals, checklists, and templates for Terminal marine operations

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
Australian Master Unrestricted Certificate of Competency or equivalent
Experience in Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) carriers/Oil tankers in senior capacity will be preferred
Ship handling and/or marine pilotage skills will be preferred
Knowledge of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG)/Oil shipboard operations
Knowledge of relevant international, national, and state maritime regulations
Experience in risk and safety management in terminal operations
Experience working with various cultural backgrounds and professional disciplines and the ability to work under pressure in a team environment
Hold a valid Australian driving license, and Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC)
