Chevron Supply Chain Management (SCM) organization is going through several changes in its Contracting and Procurement (C&P) processes. Given the particularities of Venezuela’s operations, our processes differ in many ways from the standard procedures followed in other Business Units.
The team is growing, changes are being implemented, and it is more important than ever to have a clear guide on how to perform our C&P operations. The main objective of this internship process will be to provide this guidelines (playbook) in the form of a Live document describing the following:
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
SCM Intern to support Logistics and General Services category activities
Work together with the team to design and develop an automated supplier’s database by PSL that will help Contracting and Procurement select the right suppliers for specific services and materials that should include not only current suppliers but also must have all the new suppliers that are sending information on a daily basis.
Additional routinary tasks will be requested to the intern related to SCM function and processes
Identify improvement opportunities along the compliance process that will reduce the approval cycle time.
Put together a materials catalog based on Logistics orders that will enable the procurement team forecast future materials needs.
Requirements
Excellent skills in MS Office (especially Excel and Power BI) with strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Good communication skills in both Spanish and English.
Careful, good attention to details.
Regular Students of Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Accounting or related fields in their final years of university.
