about the role
Chevron Australia Downstream (CAD) has an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join the StarCard Sales team. Reporting to the National Card Manager, this will initially be a 12-month contract, with the possibility of review for a transition to a full-time role afterward. The ideal location for this role is Hamilton, Queensland, although other locations in Australia may also be considered.
This role will be responsible for the growth and marketing of the StarCard program to prospective customers in the mid to large fleet segment.
This role is best suited to a self-starter with a “hunter” approach.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Actively pursuing and securing new business opportunities for StarCard by identifying and targeting potential leads and opportunities
Designing and executing effective sales strategies and approaches to meet sales objectives and targets.
Develop and grow a network of relevant contacts to facilitate new business acquisition.
Negotiating commercial agreements within authorized limits
Staying informed about competitors, market dynamics, and product trends.
Working collaboratively within the StarCard team to ensure seamless implementation with WEX.
Ensuring that all sales activities, including lead conversions and opportunities, are documented in a database and reported weekly against sales targets.
Being prepared to travel both inter- and intrastate on short notice.
