We offer services such as bulk fuel supply, oils and lubricants, fuel equipment solutions, customised fleet fuel card solutions and expert advice on fuel management and health and safety.

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a StarCard Sales Operations Manager. This role will be based in Brisbane Head Office. (other locations may be considered).

The role is primarily responsible for ensuring profitable fleet customer growth and operations within the existing StarCard customer base. You will be required to have a strong analytical and sales approach to ensure KPIs for retention and growth for our fleet customers are met. Working cross functionally within the organization and our service provider, will be required to help you achieve your goals, leveraging marketing, BI tools, outbound call center and other resources to assist you. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: 

Driving project implementation to ensure growth within StarCard customer and merchant base

  • Ensuring projects are delivered within agreed timeframes and within cost constraints

  • Removing bottlenecks

  • Post project analysis

  • Having ultimate responsibility for the implementation of initiatives and their outcome

Leading operational execution with service providers

  • Running WIP reviews and maintaining visibility across active projects

  • Supporting the team in solving operational challenges quickly and effectively

  • Supporting change request process

Managing client escalations

  • Acting as a senior point of contact when issues arise

  • Resolving problems while maintaining strong relationships

Supporting growth of fleet customers and merchants

  • Identifying and help drive new initiatives and opportunities with existing and new customers

Reporting and data champion

  • Produce regular sales reports, dashboards, and performance analysis

  • Extracting and analyzing data from multiple business systems to deliver actionable insights

  • SOX Compliance requirements of the business unit 

About You

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience: 

  • Applies a proactive approach to sales 

  • Possesses experience in retail and/or commercial & industrial fuel sectors 

  • Experience in working with fleet and fleet related industries 

  • Understanding of card payments will be a benefit 

  • Develops commercially sound proposals 

  • Ability to make outbound calls 

  • Demonstrates strong analytical and reporting capabilities, including advanced Excel & BI proficiency 

  • Shows a high level of initiative and self-motivation
