About the Role

Chevron Australia Downstream (CAD) has an exciting opportunity for a Terminal Manager. This permanent role will be based in Eagle Farm Terminal, QLD.

Eagle Farm is Chevron’s highest volume Downstream Terminal and is a 24hr x7 days/week operation. The Manager leads a team of 9 Direct Reports with the majority on a shift roster.

The Terminal Manager is expected to lead a safe, reliable and efficient operation. The primary responsibility of the role is to supervise and co-ordinate day-to-day operational activities including product receipts, tank farm operations, loading rack operations, quality control, terminal maintenance and stock control.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Ensure safe receipt, storage and distribution of fuel products.

  • Lead and role model the desired HSE behaviours and implement and steward the HSE Management System. This includes controlling work through effective application of Permit to Work, Management of Change, Lock Out Tag Out, Contractor Management, Operating Procedures and Quality Control.

  • Accountable for the motivation and direction of terminal personnel and contractors covering work execution, performance management and staff welfare.

  • This role interfaces with many internal (Supply, Transport, Engineering) and external (Port Company, Regulators, Counterparties, Contractors) stakeholders and collaborating effectively is a key requirement of the role.

  • Overall responsible for delivering the Annual Operating Plan and associated Terminal KPIs covering cost management, safety, efficiency and people.

  • Work collaboratively with our Engineering Team for the safe and efficient execution of projects.

  • Manage terminal maintenance and improvement programs.

  • Responsible for managing people matters including but not limited training, competence verification, managing leave and shift coverage, performance management and building future organization capability.

About You

Knowledge, skills and experience:

  • 10 years Facility Operations experience. Working in a Dangerous Goods Facility desired

  • 5 years’ experience leading teams

  • Technical Qualification or Degree desired

  • Intermediate Windows / Microsoft Suite skills required
