Global Business Services - Buenos Aires (GBS BA), located in Buenos Aires (Puerto Madero), Argentina, with more than 1,800 employees, provides solutions in the areas of Finance, IT, Downstream, Human Resources, Procurement, Audit and Legal to the global organization and is launching its Internship Program.

The selected candidates will join the GBS BA IT team.

Your initial responsibilities will include either one of these:

  • Support the development of digital solutions for Wells Operations, including backend applications and integrations built with C# and .NET, APIs and services that connect operational and enterprise systems, and real-time and batch data ingestion pipelines. The role also covers the use of generative AI to accelerate development, testing and documentation, and the creation of AI skills and agents that improve engineering productivity.

  • Use AI-assisted coding frameworks to develop and modernize applications on Chevron's technology stack (Angular, .NET Core, Python and Azure), and work within an agile team on full stack development and API integrations. Activities include participating in agile ceremonies and reviewing team code and wiki documentation prior to release.

  • Support the evolution and maintenance of Petro Web, a Supply Planning web application built with .NET, Angular and Microsoft Azure, including translating mathematical models into code. Responsibilities include feature development, application enhancements, testing, troubleshooting and collaboration with product and engineering teams in an Agile environment.

  • Support Target Process, the Demand Management application, through development tasks using JavaScript and C#, system configuration changes, and gathering and understanding business requirements. The role includes working on small enhancements for a highly requested tool used by multiple teams, with exposure to APIs, functional script execution and incident management.

  • Participate in the design, development, testing and documentation of APIs and integration solutions, assist with CI/CD pipeline activities and automated testing practices, create and update technical documentation and solution diagrams, and contribute to proof-of-concepts related to APIs, integrations, cloud platforms and AI technologies

  • Support administrative duties in HFM (Hyperion Financial Management), such as user access reviews and SOX controls. Support month end close effort by engaging HFM end users to answer questions. Participate in HFM related effort. Technical and functional testing.

Requirements

  • Advanced students of computer engineering and related careers.
  • Fluent in written and oral English.

Hours per week: 20 hours.

Internship duration: 12 months, with the possibility of extending for 6 more months.
