S/4HANA Implementation Analyst
This role will be primarily responsible for learning, understanding, and translating business processes across Downstream domains (Manufacturing, Fuels Supply, Lubricants & Base Oils, and Integrated Supply Chain) into system requirements that support the successful implementation of SAP S/4HANA.
The position requires a strong combination of financial acumen, business process understanding, and system implementation capabilities, acting as a key bridge between business stakeholders and IT teams.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
S/4HANA Implementation & Transformation
- Translate business processes and reporting needs into functional requirements for system configuration and development.
- Participate in system integration activities, ensuring data consistency between legacy systems and S/4HANA.
- Support the end-to-end implementation of SAP S/4HANA, including requirement gathering, process mapping, testing, and post-go-live stabilization.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect tracking, and resolution of system-related issues.
- Document business processes, functional designs, and standard operating procedures aligned with S/4HANA architecture.
- Actively contribute to change management efforts, including training materials and end-user support.
Business Process Learning & Knowledge Development
- Develop a deep understanding of Downstream operation model, including its multiple segments (Manufacturing (Crude & Products), Fuels Supply, Lubricants & Base Oils, Integrated Supply Chain
- Understand key operational and financial drivers across:
- Inventory movements and valuation
- Gross Margin and variance drivers (inventory effects, hedging, pricing, compliance costs)
- Trade Sales, earnings fluctuations, and volume reporting
- Translate this business knowledge into system logic, reporting structures, and data models required in S/4HANA.
Financial & Reporting Process Understanding
- Gain knowledge of financial close and reporting processes
- Variance analysis and Legacy systems reporting functionalities and tie-outs (Net Income, Cash Flow, Capital Employed)
- Support analysis to validate that S/4 outputs reflect current business reporting requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- +5 years of experience in Finance, or business analysis roles.
- Demonstrated experience in ERP implementations or system-related projects (SAP preferred).
- Strong ability to understand business processes and translate them into system requirements.
- Intermediate knowledge of financial reporting concepts (P&L, variance analysis, cost allocation).
- Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
