Contribute to and enable the Offshore Gulf of America business to profitably grow, preserve, and optimize subsurface assets by negotiating, drafting, analyzing, and managing new and current upstream commercial land agreements. Initiate and develop commercial Land strategies through collaboration with cross-functional teams for effective portfolio management. Execute key Offshore Gulf of America priorities in Capital Projects, Asset Development, and/or Asset Retirement phase(s) of project development through upstream commercial leadership and influence.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
- Handle land-related responsibilities in designated geographic area with limited supervision
- Review and draft land / commercial agreements in support of Asset Development and Asset Retirement. Provide guidance on contractual dates and obligations
- Joint venture relationship management
- Work with technical functions on designated geographical area for development planning and execution
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 8 years of in-house land experience
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build trust with diverse stakeholders
- Critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or JD
- 10+ years of in-house land experience
- Certified Professional Landman (“CPL”)
- Gulf of America Land experience
- Understanding of BOEM / BSEE regulations and requirements

Relocation may be considered within Chevron parameters.
International Considerations:
Expatriate assignments will not be considered.
