Summary
Chevron is accepting online applications for the position Community Affairs Advisor through 02/26/ 2026 at 11:59 p.m.Central Time Zone.
Provides community engagementexpertiseand coordination of local relationships, with a strong emphasis on education, civic and non-profit partners, and key events to promote corporate affairs strategies. Ensures Chevron is consistently visible,credibleand responsive within Manhattan Beach, ElSegundoand the South Bay community. Provides generalist support to deliver a wide range of products and services across multiple areas within the Corporate Affairs function. Coordinates,implementsand executesalignment with communications team in progressingdepiction ofcommunity engagementas focal pointof external media plan. Designs and edits content for web, presentations, social media, surveys, and other communication platforms assuring effectiveness, consistency, clarity, and a high standard of quality. Coordinates and implements externalspecial eventsin collaboration with community partners.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience working in corporate, government or municipal affairs andcommunications in either the private or public sector.
Bachelor's Degree
Stakeholder engagement and issue management experience withdemonstratedexperience building relationships with municipal governments.
Proven abilityto executecommunications and stakeholder engagement strategies tomaintainpositive and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders and community partners.
Proven ability to effectively work with business associationsand community and opinion leaders. Adept at building andmaintainingpositive internal and external relationships with a growth mindset.
Strong interpersonal skills and capable of working in afast-paced,collaborative, team-drivenenvironment.
Relocation Options:
Relocation is not offered for this role. Only local candidates will be considered.
