Chevron Shale&Tight Business Colorado Region Group is accepting online applications for the position of Rotating Equipment Specialist located in Greeley, Colorado through March 26, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. (MT).
This position is responsible for daily compliance testing work associated with Engines and Enclosed Combustion Devices (ECD). This work requires mechanical skills, physical labor and basic oil and gas process understanding. This role is field facing and requires daily driving to local/remote location, management of business partners, knowledge and understanding of Control of Work practices. This role will be a permit approver and responsible for enabling the safety of yourself and others. Additional responsibilities are rotational on-call support. This role has the potential to morph as regulatory policies change and additional requirements/activities/work is required to monitor and maintain our equipment. This position will work in an environment with extremely strict safety and work requirements.
The work shift for this position will follow a 9/80 schedule.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
- Engine testing
- Enclosed Combustion Device (ECD) Testing
- Interfacing with state inspectors, business partners and testing companies
- Minor facility maintenance and modifications
- Maintenance work order writing, planning and scheduling activities
- Equipment parts identification and ordering
- Typical schedule is 5/40 or 9/80, but can also be called out after normal work hours as needed.
- Work associated with this position is done outdoors year-around
- This position works with other Maintenance crafts , reliability, operations and engineering on a regular basis.
- This position requires driving on a routine basis
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver's license
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a related industry
- Must be familiar with basic maintenance practices, engineering and process design of a production facility
Preferred Qualifications
- Must have a strong team and communications skills
Relocation Options:
Relocation may be considered within Chevron parameters.
International Considerations:
Expatriate assignments will not be considered.
Assessment
As part of the application process, you will be required to take an assessment that measures aptitude and work styles. We recommend you allow approx. 45 minutes to complete the assessment in one sitting. If you need to exit, your progress will be saved.
You will be immediately directed to the testing portal upon submittal of your application, at which point you will have 72 hours (about 3 days) to complete the online assessment.
Once complete, your assessment score will be valid for 180 days. Should you re-apply for another Job Requisition within this timeframe that includes the Maintenance Assessment, you will be required to complete the application process and then click on the assessment link. This will resubmit your previous results.

The anticipated hourly wage for this position ranges from $41.07 USD to $ 44.65 USD. The selected candidate’s compensation will be determined based on their skills, experience, and qualifications.
