Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Category Specialist, MRO through April 8th at 11:59 p.m.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Define, lead and execute strategies in the MRO Category for North America Downstream, Midstream and Chemicals (DM&C).
Manage spend based on market analysis, benchmarking data and demand forecasting. Responsible for category planning, strategic sourcing/negotiations, managing supplier performance and implementation, identifying process improvements with suppliers to deliver commercial value.
This position drives supplier rationalization, standardization efforts, and inventory levels to improve availability while reducing obsolescence and total cost of ownership.
Demonstrated ability in developing contracting and category strategies with input from internal customers & suppliers to develop category initiatives aligned with business objectives, proven delivery of results
Track record of managing complex PSCM initiatives that cross multiple business units and operating companies
Track record in supplier relationship management, supplier performance management, and internal stakeholder management.
Strategic Thinking and Ability to Work Independently: Demonstrated ability to review large amounts of information, analyze the information for meaningful information and generate appropriate conclusions and strategies from the information.
Proactively build and nurture positive relationships, both internally and externally.
Leads end-to-end commercial negotiations from sourcing strategy through contract execution and implementation.
Willingness to travel up to 10% as needed
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or category management, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Proficiency in procurement software GEP and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Relocation may be considered within Chevron parameters.
International Considerations:
Expatriate assignments will not be considered.
