Land Representative

Chevron is accepting online applications for the position Land Representativethrough July 9th, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. (CST).  

Contribute to and enable Offshore Gulf of America’s success by negotiating, drafting, analyzing, and managing upstream commercial land agreements. Execute key Offshore Gulf of America priorities by contributing to and enabling the Offshore business to profitably grow, preserve, and optimize subsurface assets. Initiate and develop commercial Land strategies through collaboration with cross-functional teams for effective portfolio management. Execute key Offshore Gulf of America priorities in Exploration & Appraisal, and Capital Projects phase(s) of project development through upstream commercial leadership and influence. 

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

• Handle land-related responsibilities in designated geographic area with limited supervision 

• Review and draft land / commercial agreements in support of Exploration and Capital Projects. Provide guidance on contractual dates and obligations 

• Joint venture relationship management 

• Work with technical functions on designated geographical area for development planning and execution 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree 

• Minimum of 10 years of in-house land experience, with at least 5 years in the Gulf of America 

• Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build trust with diverse stakeholders 

• Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously 

• Strong understanding of BOEM / BSEE regulations and requirements 

Preferred Qualifications:

• MBA or JD 

• 15 + years of in-house land experience, with at least 5 years’ experience in the Gulf of America 

• Certified Professional Landman (“CPL”) 

• Gulf of America Exploration Land experience 

Relocation Options:

Relocation may be considered within Chevron parameters. 

International Considerations:

Expatriate assignments will not be considered.
