Manages Chevron's security function. Sets strategic and operational direction, and ensures quality and effectiveness of security service delivery. Establishes security risk management policy and practices. Manages Global Security's staff to ensure proportionate organizational capability, staffing, and resourcing. Manages Global Security's budget and costs. Provides Chevron's executive leadership with advice and guidance on security matters.

Manages group and employee work to align with corporate/department objectives. Direct reports are typically M2 or M1 managers.

Directs and manages Chevron Global Security programs and service delivery encompassing executive protection, event security, and protective intelligence and threat management programs for the Chevron's most senior leaders, playing an essential role in ensuring their safety and security from threats and adverse incidents globally.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

  • Lead delivery of Global Security protection programs, services, and incident response globally.
  • Manage executive security programs for the corporation's most senior leaders, playing an essential role in ensuring their safety and security from threats and adverse incidents.
  • Oversee security planning for major company and company sponsored events.
  • Manages complex protective intelligence and investigative programs and develops appropriate threat management guidance to enable risk-based decisions and mitigates threats and to executives and company connected events globally.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • 20 years of relevant experience
  • Management experience above supervisor level
  • Demonstrated understanding of executive protection, intelligence, investigative and threat management programs and operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to brief and provide advice and counsel at the executive/senior level concerning risk and related mitigations.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing employees and managing security service delivery and programs in the United States and internationally.
  • Excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • International Work Experience
  • Budget/Fiscal Planning experience
  • Ability to successfully work across boundaries in a large matrixed organization.

Relocation Options:

Relocation may be considered within Chevron parameters.

International Considerations:

Expatriate assignments will not be considered.
