As a Solution Architect – SAP S4 Production and Revenue Accounting (PRA), you will provide visionary technical guidance and operational support for the SAP PRA module and Crawford Plus packs. You will serve as an integral member of the broader Chevron PRA team, collaborating with finance, business, and IT partners both locally and internationally.
This is a hands-on architecture role, requiring not only deep system knowledge but also the ability to lead, coach, and mentor junior resources worldwide. You will have a unique opportunity to participate in upcoming initiatives, including the rollout and ongoing support of Production Royalty solutions for Chevron’s global business units.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical direction, architecture, and support for all aspects of SAP PRA and associated Crawford Plus packs.
- System Enhancements: Identify, design, and implement enhancements to the SAP S4 PRA module, ensuring continued alignment with evolving business requirements.
- Configuration & Deployment: Lead configuration, testing, deployment, and ongoing administration of complex software solutions within the SAP S4 and ECC environments.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Finance PRA teams on royalty calculations, compliance, and reporting, ensuring seamless integration with financial processes and requirements.
- Global Support: Participate in the support of Production Royalty solutions for Chevron’s global business units, troubleshooting issues and optimizing performance.
- Mentorship: Coach and mentor junior resources across global locations, fostering skill development and knowledge transfer within the PRA domain.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a trusted advisor to business and IT stakeholders, articulating technical concepts and solution options clearly and effectively.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay current with the latest trends and best practices in SAP S4, PRA, FI, and related technologies. Advocate for process improvements and innovations.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline (Master’s degree preferred).
- Extensive experience implementing, configuring, and supporting SAP PRA modules in both ECC and S4 environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in the areas of PRA, Revenue Royalty, and Tax, including end-to-end royalty calculation, compliance, and reporting processes.
- Direct, hands-on experience with Crawford Plus packs and a strong understanding of their integration with SAP PRA.
- Strong software engineering background, with prior roles such as Senior Software Engineer, Senior Application Engineer, or similar technical positions supporting SAP ECC and S4 applications.
- Comprehensive understanding of SAP Finance (FI) modules and integration points with PRA.
- Track record of success in software configuration, testing, deployment, and ongoing solution support.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders in a global, matrixed environment.
- Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop junior technical resources.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills; ability to convey complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a relevant discipline.
- Professional certifications in SAP S4 HANA, PRA, or related SAP modules.
- Experience supporting Production Royalty solutions for international business units.
- Exposure to Oil & Gas industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Agile and DevOps methodologies experience.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
