Thisroleoffers the opportunity toserve as a key technical resource within Tax Operations, collaborating/partneringwithvariousteams acrossChevron’s global operations.
In addition to core tax operations responsibilities, select candidates mayhave the opportunity tosupport Tax Systems andCorpTaxrelatedinitiatives, includingpartnering withthe Tax Systems team and serving as a key resource forCorpTaxprocess execution, enhancements, and continuity.

KeyResponsibilities
Responsibilities for this position may include,but are not limited to:
Prepareand reviewcomplex federalandinternationaltax workpapersto support the U.S.consolidatedfederal income tax return.
Prepare monthly and quarterly estimated tax paymentsandtaxable incomeforecast.
Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAPrequirementsand internal policies in all tax-related reporting.
Analyze and review monthly accounting information for various branches,divisionsandentities.
Gatherand analyze data needed to respond to inquiries fromfederal and statetaxauthorities.
Support auditsandassistin compiling documentation for tax examinations.
Build astrongunderstanding of Chevron’s global operations by partnering withboth finance andbusinessteams.
Provide tax analysis and insights onproposed transactions, law changes, and other business initiatives(including modeling tax implications).
Identify, design,and implement systems andprocessenhancementsto improvetaxcompliance, reporting, andauditreadiness
Leverage various tools such as SAP,CORPTAX, and digital toolsto streamline data gathering,analysisand reporting processes.
Mentor and provide guidance to less-experienced team members and promote a collaborative environmentacross departments andwith various stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
CorpTaxand SAPexpertise
10+years ofcorporate income tax experience, withdemonstrateddepth in U.S. federal taxation
Strongtax technicalknowledge, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Detail-oriented and proficient in Excel, data analysis, and modeling
Experience performingcomplex tax calculations,analysisand tax research
Proven record inleveragingdigital tools to gainefficiencies
Demonstrated ability to take ownership and leadcomplexprojects or initiatives.
Excellentorganizational skills with attention to detail and ability toindependentlymanage multiple prioritiesand deadlines.
Solid understanding ofU.S. GAAP
Strongwritten and verbal communication skills
Bachelor’s degreerequired;MST preferred
Preferred / Highly Desired Qualifications
AdvancedCorpTaxproficiency, including hands-on experience supporting return processes,validatingresults, troubleshooting issues, and partnering with functional teams on enhancements or upgrades
Experience working with SAP-sourced data and downstream tax data flows to supportaccurate,timelytax compliance and reporting
Demonstrated interest in tax process optimization, automation, andsystems-enabled improvements within a tax operations environment
