Accounting Analyst

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Responsible for the completion of monthly, quarterly and year-end closing activities which includes, among others:

• Runs various SAP reports to extract account balances

• Handles the completion of the recurring tasks and reporting requirements

• Reviews accounts affecting the accuracy of the foreign currency revaluation and coordinates with business partners for any issue

• Posts additional foreign currency adjustments

• Proposes long-term solutions to correct recurring issues in relation to the monthly revaluation of accounts

• Reviews both corporate and statutory balances to determine discrepancies and propose adjustments, if any

• Performs variance analysis of Balance Sheet and Income Statement on a total company and per BU basis to check reasonableness of balances and explain current versus previous month, current versus previous quarter, current versus previous YTD and actual versus plan variances.  Completes the monthly Commentary Template, handles the queries associated with the commentaries provided and ensures that queries are resolved on a timely basis

• Responsible for the review and analysis of the monthly segmented Balance Sheet. Proposes adjusting/reclass entries as necessary, including tax-related accounts

• Facilitate the preparation of quarterly and annual supplementary template for submission to DSR and handles queries associated with it

• Prepares the monthly and semi-annual Earnings Forecast. In-charge of the preparation and coordination of the Business Plan deliverables assigned

• Provides relevant information and collaborates with external auditors to facilitate the preparation of annual audited Financial Statements, Tax and other statutory reports as it relates to Gross Margins and Balance Sheet

• Performs the account reconciliation of assigned General Ledger accounts and submits quarterly ARRS.  Ensures propriety of the account balances, timely reconciliation and clearance of reconciling items.  Proposes adjusting entries as necessary to clear outstanding items

• Performs SOX testing of assigned SOX controls

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, and other Accounting related courses

• Good oral and written communication skills 

• Strong analytical, teamwork and customer engagement skills 

• Must have the propensity to work in a proactive, results-oriented, and customer-focused environment 

• Enjoys working with people of diverse cultural backgrounds

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in S4 Hana is an advantage, but not required.

• Strong Accounts Payable background is preferred
