About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Bank Reconciliation Analyst. This role will be based in 6750 Building, Makati City, Philippines.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Prepares Account Reconciliation of cash and cash equivalent accounts in full compliance with Chevron’s Account Reconciliation Standards
  • Utilize FSS account reconciliation process to drive enhanced process quality, consistency and address weaknesses in internal control that can lead to financial incident.
  • Performs monthly cash analysis to identify critical items that need to be adjusted before the books close
  • Identifies, investigates and resolves reconciling items or discrepancies thru coordination with the bank, other key contacts.
  • Propose miscellaneous journal entries for posting which include bank service fees, interest, withholding taxes, and bank and book errors based on analysis of bank reconciliation statements.
  • Monitors cash in depot, cash in transit, cash clearing and cash suspense accounts
  • Monitors and endorses long-outstanding checks for Unclaimed Property reporting (North America only)
  • Analyzes miscellaneous balance sheet accounts and clearance/transfer of balances to appropriate accounts as necessary.
  • Handles inquiries received through the group mailbox
  • Identifies and implements improvements related to individual or team tasks/processes
  • Occasionally acts as ReconNET Administrator

JPM AND Citidirect Access Administration

  • Administration of the JP Morgan and Citidirect Access for the Asia Pacific locations of Chevron such as creation, modification, and deletion of access, assign and replace security tokens to users, reset passwords, answer queries from users, and provide audit requirements.
  • Prepares and updates current work plan as necessary to achieve performance goals.
  • Determines action plans to increase accuracy and efficiency, and to meet process/project objectives.
  • Attends functional trainings and participates in self-study courses.
  • Performs and assumes other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned, including coordination roles, and participation in MSSC/FSS/global projects
  • Assists team members, when necessary, in ensuring delivery of quality accounting service to customers

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree major in Finance, Business, Accounting, and related courses.

  • Demonstrated experience and background in Finance, Accounting, and/or Audit work

  • Effective communicator and able to build relationships with various stakeholders and teams

  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Innovative and has passion for learning digital tools and technologies

  • Experience and knowledge in digital tools and other technology systems is an advantage
