In Finance, you will have the opportunity to grow your career in different functional groups such as Accounts Payable, Midstream Accounting, Bank, Revenue and Retail, Credits and Receivables, Intercompany, Financial Accounting and Reporting, Upstream Accounting and Business Analysis and Support.

This position will provide financial, analytical and system support to the Chevron Shipping Company. The primary responsibility is to manage and maintain finance processes and data flow within Shipping’s digital systems, including SAP and VIP (Shipping Commercial’s Voyage Management System). As the Information Steward for Shipping’s financial data, this role is responsible for maintaining master data and actively participating in any necessary master data changes to meet evolving business or finance requirements.

KJRs include:

• Finance Process Owner and Support of VIP (Shipping Commercial’s Voyage Management System):
  • Provide user support for the Global Business Management / Finance Teams
  • Coordinate process improvements, resolve issues, and work to standardize processes across regions
  • Responsible for testing and implementation for any system upgrades/changes
  • Monitor monthly close process and resolve issues timely
  • Develop reporting solutions
  • Ensure data flows appropriately between VIP and SAP
• Information Steward for all Shipping financial data - responsible for maintaining master data in VIP and SAP, and using business and accounting acumen to oversee any necessary master data changes to meet evolving business or finance requirements.
• Participate in a variety of cross-functional projects as a subject matter expert on finance/accounting processes and how they interact with VIP and SAP systems to ensure any changing business requirements or new system functionality is configured appropriately.
• Works closely with MSP teams / IT Platforms; assigning, reviewing, and approving IT enhancements; participating in PI planning sessions to ensure proper resourcing and visibility of updates/changes for Finance processes and data

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• Minimum of (10) years overall work experience.
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Strong analytical, teamwork and customer engagement skills
• Must have the propensity to work in a proactive, results-oriented, and customer-focused environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in SAP/JDE
• General Accounting, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable process exposure preferred.
