About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Site Reliability Engineer. This role will be based in 6750 Building, Makati City.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Use broad full-stack knowledge and experience for proactive incident prevention by baselining against expected service performance, process improvement from application of lessons learned, and utilization of data analytics to proactively identify problem areas and operational gaps.
Effectively and efficiently lead product line agile teams in troubleshooting and resolving system problems, including analyzing application and critical system performance.
Provide on-call operational support and serve as a technical resource during critical (P1) and major incidents supporting multiple technologies.
Facilitate SRE technical assessments, identify gaps, and provide recommendations to product teams on SRE maturity journey plans based on Chevron’s SRE framework.
Find opportunities to avoid future issues by improving logging and creating automated resolutions based on triggers. Develop automation scripts for repetitive tasks to eliminate toil / operations support activities.
Oversee production environments by monitoring availability and maintaining a holistic view of system health.
Measure and optimize system performance, continuously seeking innovation and improvement to meet customer needs. Align, collaborate, and build relationships with peers, company leadership, subject matter experts and users to improve knowledge of end-to-end DevOps / Site Reliability Engineering best practices.

Requirements:
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
Hands-on experience as an IT professional with Computer Science/ Management Information Systems (MIS) degree or related field equivalent experience.
Demonstrated experience in on-prem and cloud architecture, Azure cloud, Windows and Linux OS, performance monitoring & management, troubleshooting (application and database), change management, API integration, and process automation.
Analytical, troubleshooting, RCA (Root Cause Analysis) or postmortem skillset; knowledgeable with ITSM processes, especially Incident Management.
Strong facilitation skills and ability to summarize complex information into succinct messages for non-technical audiences, remaining calm under pressure.
Knowledge or experience with KQL, CI/CD pipeline with Ansible, PowerShell, and Shell scripting.
Knowledge in Agile (SAFe) PI Planning, value stream mapping, scrum ceremonies.
Preferred Qualifications:
T-shaped/full stack infrastructure & software engineering skills to deliver end-to-end solution via best practices and team collaboration.
Communication and Teamwork - Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner, consider the views and concerns of others, achieve objectives through teamwork, and deliver consistently on commitments.
Critical and Analytical Thinking skills - Ability to lead technical discussions, including Major Incident and problem resolution calls. Solve problems of a complex nature. Decipher and communicate issues and solutions to complex/advanced analytical problems. Apply ingenuity, creativity and innovative thinking to identify novel solutions to problems.
Leverage knowledge and best practices of Site Reliability Engineering such as SLO, SLI, and SLA definitions, eliminating toil via automation, error budgets, emergency response (triage, postmortem, retrospective), demand forecast and cost-effective capacity planning to inspire others in supporting Chevron’s Agile/DevOps transformation.
Preferred training/certifications:
Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104), Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204), DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400), Network (CCNA, JNCIA), Security (PCNSA, CISSP), Linux/Unix Administration.
