About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Team Leader - Payroll Accounting. This role will be based in 6750 Building, Makati City, Philippines.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Ensure all Payroll General Ledger (GL) accounts are reconciled in compliance with Chevron Accounts Reconciliation Standards.
Oversee and lead the execution of process migration activities and transformation projects impacting payroll accounting, including system deployments such as S/4HANA and BlackLine.
Provide strong leadership and direction to the Payroll Accounting Team, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant records and reporting across In‑House and Outsourced payroll models.
Guide the team through changing business and operating conditions, identifying opportunities to expand scope, standardize processes, and leverage best practices across workstreams and business units.
Initiate, lead, and actively participate in continuous improvement and simplification initiatives, driving efficiency, quality, and control enhancements.
Ensure the adequacy and optimal deployment of resources; monitor performance against plans and established benchmarks, and implement corrective actions as required.
Build, develop, and sustain a skilled, engaged, and high‑performing team through regular coaching, performance observation, and constructive feedback.
Consistently demonstrate and role‑model Leadership Behaviors essential to leading with intent, fostering accountability, and driving transformational change.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
Educational Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
Professional Experience
At least 3-5 years in a supervisory role.
Solid experience in payroll operations is highly preferred.
Prior experience in a shared services environment will be considered a valuable asset.
