Chevron (Cambodia) Limited is a Global Energy Company most admired for its people, partnership and performance, is urgently seeking for a qualified Cambodian national to fill the position of FINANCE MANAGER. This position will be based at Chevron (Cambodia) Head Office in Phnom Penh.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to Accounting, Reporting and Planning:

  • Oversees the Finance department and will be responsible for all accounting and reporting activities – both local, statutory, tax audits and corporate and management reporting to HQ

  • Partners businesses in understanding financial performance and highlighting key performance deltas as well as watchpoints ahead

  • Provides accounting advice and information to support management decision making and highlighting risks/ trade-offs in the process

  • Performs general accounting such as retail accounting, intercompany, consolidation, general ledger and month end close

  • Develop Business Plan activities using competitive targets and key drivers as well as managing the YTD forecast process

  • Engage with external stakeholders such as regulatory bodies, external auditors and advisors

  • Partners with our offshore shared services center to ensure due diligence and alignment on financial outcomes

  • Ensures adequate controls are in place for both integrity of financial numbers and business processes including SOX controls

  • Coordinate Corporate Secretarial work, board minutes, resolutions that are required.

  • Other responsibilities and projects as may be assigned from time to time

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in Accountancy, Business or equivalent

  • 8 years and above of experience in a similar capacity in a MNC or external audit environment with a Big 4 company (with supervisory/managerial experience)

  • Demonstrated commercial acumen with ability to identify opportunities and threats, and demonstrate innovative thinking while driving action

  • Strong influential leadership capability to manage the Finance department, drive alignment and influence through effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders for effective outcomes

  • Strong accounting knowledge (U.S. GAAP is a plus) and wide understanding of broader finance disciplines - compliance, tax, treasury, analysis & reporting

  • Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with different stakeholders

  • Strong digital skills – strong excel skills and be able to use tools such as MS Power BI and Power Apps to solve business problems will be an advantage.

  • Ability to work under pressure in meeting tight deadlines
