Oronite’s Global Technology organization innovates, develops, optimizes and protects components, products, and fundamentals in support of Oronite’s strategic agenda while keeping sustainability as a core element of our proposition.
Responsibilities for this position include:
- Development of ADH (Automotive, Driveline, Hydraulic) additive technology to meet various specifications, customer requirements, and cost & performance targets.
- Design and execute testing plans to support product development and fundamental knowledge generation. Recommend new methods and tools for evaluation to gain further insight into a challenge or mechanism
- Analyze large data sets to extract technical insights and determine testing requirements to make product recommendations. Communicate results and project status to stakeholders of various backgrounds.
- Work closely with the components team to evaluate alternative chemistry for the applications.
- Generate intellectual property and keep up to date on competitive patenting activities
- Manages technical projects from planning through implementation. Communicates and collaborates with external suppliers, customers, and with key internal stakeholders.
- Work with peers and stakeholders from multiple teams to support OEM and customer needs
- Identify, select, and manage candidate field tests fleets, manage project contacts, and negotiate with field sites.
- Generate field test plan according to field test requestor's need, evaluate field test project cost and collaborate with formulator scientists and stakeholders.
- Implement field tests projects, Key activities including schedule field test oils, train the fleet technicians, analysis and evaluate fresh and used oil data, take pictures, and conduct professional parts ratings for the key engine parts.
- Diagnose hardware issues, analyze field test data, and draw conclusions on oil and formulation performance.
- Regularly update field tests projects status with global internal stakeholders and compile interim and final field test reports.
- Work with field test peers in other country and regions (China, Europe, and Japan), attend meeting and share experiences, optimize field test process. Collaborate with field test stakeholders, formulators, and scientists.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field.
- Formulating, additive, lubricant, or product development experience
- Able to travel domestically and internationally several times per year.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to work in diverse global teams
- Project Management – ability to manage complex projects
- Written and verbal communication skills in both Chinese and English
