Turnaround & Major Maintenance Leadership

  • Provide leadership, technical input, and decision‑making support for Turnaround (TAR) planning and execution, including scope definition, readiness reviews, execution oversight, and post‑event learning.

  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, Process Safety, and Turnaround organizations to ensure integrated planning and risk management.

Contracting, Budget & Resource Management

  • Manage an annual maintenance budget of approximately $30MM, distributed across ~26 active contracts, ensuring cost discipline, contractor performance, and compliance.

Interface & External Coordination

  • Coordinate pipeline and maintenance support interfaces with Upstream organizations to ensure operational continuity.

Organization & People Leadership

  • Provide strategic and organizational leadership for approximately 325 maintenance personnel, including Chevron employees, PDVSA employees, and contractors.

  • Build organizational capability through coaching, mentoring, training, and targeted development initiatives.

  • Drive alignment with Chevron and PDVSA objectives, values, and OE expectations, with a strong focus on achieving world‑class safety and reliability performance.

Health, Safety & Operational Excellence

  • Demonstrate visible leadership in health, safety, and environmental stewardship.

  • Promote an incident‑free culture and ensure all maintenance activities comply with Chevron and PDVSA HES management systems and regulatory requirements.
