About the Position
This role requires a person with strong experience in repair and in-service inspection of pressure equipment, piping, heat exchangers, tanks, and relief devices within refinery/ petrochemical, LNG, or oil & gas facilities. The individual must be able to take direction from the Fixed Equipment Engineering Lead and work collaboratively with global teams. The role demands a solid understanding of RBI methodologies, inspection optimization, and compliance with international standards (ASME, API) as well as company procedures. The person should also have hands-on experience with APM/IDMS software and possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze inspection results and recommend corrective actions.
Perform Corrosion analysis, thickness calculations, and fitness-for-service assessments.
Develop and maintain RBI strategies, inspection intervals in compliance with Company Documents, local regulations and international standards (ASME, API etc.) in APM / IDMS software (e.g. GE-APM/Credo/Visions/Predix etc.).
Preparation of Scope for performing Inspection Activities.
Troubleshoot integrity issues, perform root cause analysis, and recommend solutions.
Coordinate with global teams for knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Ensure adherence to SHE standards and manage integrity-related risks.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
5 to 10 years of hands‑on experience in in‑service inspection and repair of fixed equipment, including: Pressure vessel, piping, heat exchangers, storage tanks, pressure relief devices in refinery, petrochemical, LNG, or Oil & Gas facilities.
Proven experience in Risk‑Based Inspection (RBI) and/or inspection interval optimization for pressure equipment, piping, and PRDs.
Strong knowledge of materials of construction, damage mechanisms, and applicable NDT techniques relevant to refinery and upstream facilities.
Experience analyzing inspection results, performing corrosion assessments, thickness calculations, and recommending corrective actions.
Working knowledge of international codes and standards such as API, ASME, and relevant local regulations.
Ability to prepare inspection scopes, troubleshoot integrity issues, and support root cause analysis activities.
Familiarity with Asset Performance / Integrity Management systems (e.g., APM / IDMS platforms) used for inspection and integrity programs.
Preferred Qualifications
Certification in API standards such as: API 510/570/571/580
Exposure to Fitness For Service assessments as per API 579 / ASME FFS 1 beyond basic evaluations
Hands on experience with integrity management software such as: GE APM, Visions, Predix, PCMS or similar systems
Experience working in a centralized / global engineering support model
Familiarity with Integrity Operating Windows (IOWs) and ITPM / barrier management concepts
Knowledge of international inspection codes and regional regulatory frameworks (beyond local compliance)
Experience supporting major turnarounds / shutdown inspections
Exposure to root cause analysis methodologies
Strong technical reporting and documentation skills
Ability to mentor junior engineers or support knowledge sharing initiatives
Prior experience in multi discipline collaboration (process, operations, maintenance)

Chevron ENGINE supports global operations, supporting business requirements across the world. Accordingly, the work hours for employees will be aligned to support business requirements. The standard work week will be Monday to Friday. Working hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm or 1.30pm to 10.30pm.
