About the position:

Design and deliver effective social investment programs, business memberships and sponsorships. Identify opportunities for social investment programs, business memberships and sponsorships to advance Chevron’s business objectives and talent acquisition strategy. Manage relationships with social investment partners, business and professional associations, and key stakeholders associated with Chevron’s social investment strategy. Effectively communicate all aspects of Chevron’s social investment program to internal and external stakeholders. Ensure that partnership budgets are in line with the internal approvals process and company policies. Represent Chevron at partnership meetings and events.

Key responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver effective social investment programs, business memberships, and sponsorship activities. This includes, but is not limited to, working in collaboration with internal stakeholders, SMEs, and external partners to:

  • 1. Identify opportunities for social investment programs, business memberships, and sponsorships to advance Chevron’s business objectives

  • 2. Develop and execute partnership programs that provide engagement opportunities for internal and external stakeholders and generate positive media coverage as well as third-party advocacy

  • 3. Ensure that partnerships are aligned with Chevron’s overall reputation and talent acquisition strategy

  • 4. Ensure that partnerships are aligned with Chevron’s business drivers and address key business impacts and opportunities

  • Proactively and professionally manage relationships with social investment partners, business and professional associations, and key stakeholders associated with Chevron’s social investment strategy

  • Develop briefing materials for internal clients and external stakeholders with whom we engage in the social investment program

  • Communicate all aspects of Chevron’s social investment program to internal and external stakeholders

  • Proactively manage partnership budgets and ensure that they are in line with the internal approvals process and company policies

  • Monitor and report key social investment metrics

  • Oversee annual performance reviews of individual partnerships

  • Capture and report key metrics as required by Corporate Affairs, internal clients, and Chevron's corporate headquarters

  • Prepare and deliver partnership reports for internal and external use on a regular basis

  • Proactively manage relationships with key social investment partners and associated stakeholders

  • Represent Chevron at various partnership meetings and events in a professional capacity

  • Collaborate with and provide support to the Corporate Affairs team on various special projects

  • Work proactively and collaboratively with internal clients and other members of the Corporate Affairs team to deliver Chevron’s partnership programs

  • Consistently demonstrate professional conduct and adopt the Chevron Way when interacting with internal and external stakeholders

Required qualifications:

  • This role is responsible for delivering social investment programs, business memberships, and sponsorship activities for Chevron in India

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant field experience in managing community-business partnerships, social investment, stakeholder engagement, communications, event, and/or project management

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders

  • Demonstrated understanding and application of partnership communications

  • Proven interpersonal skills and capacity to represent Chevron in a professional and appropriate manner

  • Well developed written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to interact with multi-disciplinary groups in a clear, concise, and understandable manner

  • Ability to work collaboratively, foster cooperation, and promote teamwork with a diverse group of people

  • Strong project management skills

  • Tertiary qualifications in community relations, communications, marketing, and/or social sciences will be considered favorably
