About the Role
Chevron is seeking a commercially driven Distributor Manager to lead the profitable growth and strategic performance of its Commercial & Industrial distributor network. This role is responsible for building high-performing distributor partnerships, driving commercial excellence and delivering sustainable business outcomes across pricing, customer growth, supply chain collaboration and continuous improvement.
As the key commercial interface between Chevron and its distributor partners, you will work closely with senior distributor stakeholders and internal teams to maximise performance, identify growth opportunities and strengthen long-term market position.
This role will be based in Brisbane Head Office.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Develop and execute strategic business plans with distributor partners to deliver profitable growth, market share and customer retention.
Drive commercial performance through pricing strategy, portfolio optimisation, contract management and disciplined margin management.
Build trusted executive relationships with distributor leadership and act as Chevron’s primary commercial interface with distributor partners.
Lead quarterly business reviews, performance scorecards and strategic planning sessions.
Identify growth opportunities through market intelligence, customer segmentation and competitive analysis.
Partner with Supply Chain, Trading, Operations and Finance to optimise network utilisation, inventory, logistics and customer service outcomes.
Develop distributor capability through coaching, sales enablement, commercial training and continuous improvement initiatives.
Lead strategic tenders, major customer negotiations and cross-functional commercial projects.
Monitor distributor performance against agreed KPIs and implement improvement plans where required.
Ensure compliance with commercial governance, contractual obligations, safety standards and company policies.
About You
You are a commercially astute relationship leader with experience managing distributor, channel or strategic customer partnerships. You bring strong negotiation capability, financial discipline and the ability to influence across multiple functions to deliver measurable commercial outcomes.
Knowledge, skills and experience:
10+ years’ experience in commercial, sales, distributor, channel or key account management.
Strong understanding of supply, distribution, customer operations and commercial performance drivers.
Demonstrated commercial negotiation and relationship management capability.
Proven ability to influence across multiple business functions and stakeholder groups.
Experience developing strategic business plans and delivering commercial outcomes.
Strong analytical, financial and communication skills.
Proven leadership, planning and stakeholder management capability.
