about the role
Chevron Australia has an exciting opportunity for a Financial Analyst to join the Finance Team and will be based in Perth. The role provides financial insight and oversight to support informed decision-making across operations and joint venture arrangements, with a strong focus on performance, compliance, and continuous improvement.
key responsibilities include:
Financial Oversight:Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data, with a clear understanding of key drivers of performance. Provide guidance onappropriate accountingtreatment for operational and project activities, includingaccurateallocation of expenditure across assets.
Performance Analysis:Deliver detailed analysis of financial performance metrics and trends. Develop financial models and analysis to support business decisions.
Reporting & Disclosures: Coordinate and delivertimelyfinancial reporting for the area of responsibility. Prepare clear, concise commentary that explains the story behind the numbers for key stakeholders.
Stakeholder Engagement:Partner closely with internal and external stakeholders to align on business drivers, assumptions, and risks. Build financial understanding and confidence through practical, value adding insights.
Budgets & Forecasting:Support the preparation of Budgets and Business Plans, performing quality control reviews to ensure data accuracy and consistency. Develop andmaintainmonthly forecasts incorporating operational and commercial insights.
Compliance & Audit Support:Ensure application of relevant accounting standards, internal controls, and corporate policies. Support internal and external audits through analysis, documentation, andtimelyresponses.
Process Improvement:Identifyand implement process efficiencies,leveragingdigital tools and automation to improve control, insight, and delivery.
