
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Reserves and Reservoir Engineer to join our Production Forecasting team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in evaluating and managing reserves and supporting production forecasting efforts. This role involves conducting technical assessments, preparing reserves reports, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimize resource development. A strong technical background, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams are essential for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
Reserves Evaluation and Management:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of base production and associated reserves, ensuring accurate classification and reporting in compliance with industry standards.
Develop and maintain reserves models to support strategic planning and decision-making.
Prepare detailed reserves reports and collaborate with geoscience and engineering teams to integrate geological, geophysical, and engineering data into reserves assessments.
Production Forecasting:
Support the Production Forecasting team by providing accurate and reliable reservoir data and insights.
Utilize industry standard tools and techniques to predict future production performance.
Collaborate with Forecasting team to align forecasts with operational plans and objectives.
Technical Reporting and Communication:
Communicate effectively with internal teams, providing updates on reserves and well performance.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Geoscience, or a related field.
Experience: 5-10 years of experience in reserves evaluation and reservoir engineering, with a focus on shale and tight formations preferred.
Skills:
Strong technical skills in reservoir engineering and reserves management.
Proficiency in production modeling for accurate performance forecasting.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Additional Experience: Over 7 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, particularly in reserves and reservoir management.
